This awesome outdoor aquarium was built by my friend Rob Stoud! He has the most amazing back yard and finally this year the kids were old enough to get to visit the fish!
Its almost like the best of a aquarium and a zoo as he also has cockateels that he has rescued. He used to raise frogs and I mistakenly told Mikas he would get to see frogs too..but they had been released to hop in the swamplands..he was none too pleased.. BUT, the kids got to feed fish AND hold birds, all in one day!
He made the front so that kids could come and see the fish
This is a little walk down area with a seat..the kids loved seeing the fish.
He has HUGE carp and trout.
Outside at the huge aquarium, the kids were great! I wasnt worried that they would fall in but Rob was not so sure! haha
M &M loved Robi's birds! They are really tame and the kids got brave after Robi showed how to get them to climb up their arm and sit on their fingers..
Mikas was not so sure of this bird and just wanted to pet them on the head, however Madeline got really friendly with her bird and let it climb up her arm!
No trip is complete without a timed picture! We did about 6 and the kids laughed every time, they thought the count down to the picture was the best part!
