Because I am crazy, I decided that the 3 days that Madeline and Mikas were gonna be at Christmas Camp that I would host Christmas Eve for the pilots and flight crew from Emergency Medical Services (Reeds work) who were stuck on the clock. Naturally they COULDNT be with family, so I would cook and make it a Merry Christmas Eve.
So thus began 3 days of preparing potato cheese soup in soup bowls, bread pudding, NUT BREAD, and all the Christmas morning food. Remember I have the baby below, (10 weeks old)and he looked pretty much like this for 3 days!
Just kidding, he didnt cry the whole time..but he did sit in that chair quite a bit..Had to put the Christmas hats on him..thats just fun with babies
Cassie, our nanny, came over too! She has been PRETTY MUCH our only friend here in Klamath so NATURALLY we were thrilled she could come over and join us! The kids just LOVE her and it was soo good to make her a yummy dinner!
And here is the flight crew! They had JUST come from work, THUS the GLOWING flight suits! We really like these folks, just good people!
They all loved the soup too!
Here I am with the BEST bread pudding ever! (Really, thats what its called!) The ONLY reason I MADE bread pudding was because of our sweet little Mikas. After going grocery shopping, and loading the kids into the car..I could see Mikas jumping up and down on something that he had put in the car seat but I was too busy buckling in baby, and tending to Madeline to notice what he was doing...
He had stuffed all of the fresh bread I had just bought into the seat and was jumping back and landing on it..until it was smashed 2"thick..Christy Friend suggested I make Bread pudding and NOW we have another tradition AND favorite dish!
(and another Mikas story too!)
We LOVE Chad and his wife! They are a great couple and Chad is Reeds partner in crime at work! They have a blast together as they are REALLY way too much alike!
Merry Christmas Eve from

Thea, what a nice dinner! So awesome of you to host for Reed's Co-workers. My dad loves bread pudding so much that I once gave him a whole cookbook of all different bread puddings, and told him to pick one for me to make. Turned out so yummy! Great save from the Mikas story.
