First snow? Brrrr

This morning I was washing dishes and saw white dust falling on my patio. Being the California Girl that I am, I assumed someones tree was dropping some kind of white puff balls on my deck and I would have to have Reed clean off my newly swept deck. I continued to glare out the window until it dawned on me that IT WAS SNOW! and lots of it! Madeline looked out the window when she woke up and exclaimed

"Its wintertime outside! Wintertime came outside"

So, we donned the FEW cold weather pieces I had for the kids and they ran outside!

They helped daddy "Push" the driveway

I sat outside for a MINUTE to take a picture..then back into the house I ran..

By the time it stopped snowing so the kids could go outside, we had purchased snow clothes for Mikas. He gladly put them on along with HUGE gloves which he quickly took off cuz "I dont like these dr glubes" soo, he opted for cold fingers...tough guy!

Madeline was also offered the same outfit from Walmart. 4 seconds into putting on the outfit she screamed and tears streamed down her face as she exclaimed

"I wont wear these, they are toooo puffy!!!" I tried to tell her she couldnt go out without them and she dug her heels in and said "Fine, I will just sit inside" with the same tears streaming down her face..sooo I gave in and let her go outside with LEGGINGS on!!

It was totally against what I would do, because I DEMAND to be warm outside..but not the girl...fashion first!

Pretty? yes, but pretty COLD too!

ps..this outside fun lasted all of 15 minutes..it took me longer to dress them :o)
