A Child is Born!

The birth of my baby boy was soo amazing. This was one of the most amazing events of my life..

I started feeling more uncomfortable and wanted a stronger epidural. When the Epidural Dr. came in and upped it I immediately felt better and totally relaxed. I am pretty sure that if I had a stronger epidural from the beginning, he would of been born earlier! SO, I called Corina and told her to come over and said to stand by...

All of a sudden my leg started hurting in the hip area. AND from what I went thru with Mikas, I knew what that meant. The pain in my hip meant my baby was coming! I buzzed the nurse and she called Dr. Shipp. They both came in and when Dr. Shipp checked me, I WAS having a baby!! He was coming!! Dr Shipp said "Never question these experienced Mama's, they know what is happening"

SO, this sent everyone into scurrying and getting set up with trays and gloves..

Then, Dr Shipp told me to do 1 push and with that we had his head! I could feel his little round fuzzy head. Then another push and we had his shoulders! I wanted to see more, but Dr. Shipp said I could just reach down and pull him out! So I put my hands under his arms and pulled him onto my belly! I just kept saying "Hi Brother Bear" Hi!! Hi baby!!" I dont know why I called him Brother Bear, but it just came out!

He was squeeky, and warm and wet. I looked at him, his little chest, eyes and face. He was crying and I had my hand on him comforting him. He had the embillical cord wrapped around his neck a few times so he needed to be rubbed to get the blood flowing down to his little toes and arms.

I saw this little baby boy and immediately fell in love. I knew him. He was my sweet baby boy, who had been my traveling companion all of these months. It was love at first sight..
